Sometimes, some siding is also removed, so it’s a good idea to work with window technicians that are also siding contractors. This is a more extensive process, but it allows you to replace old window frames that are worn-out or choose a completely new style of window. You can change the trim colors, as well, or simply switch to better windows with bigger glass areas that don’t compromise energy efficiency and structural integrity. If you have existing vinyl window frames or old and damaged windows, or if you’re remodeling your home, this is your only option.

Good: A professional can inspect the opening for damage or other issues and fix the problem. You can choose new window styles or colors. If you’re looking for a project to go simultaneously with a siding replacement, this is it.

Not So Good: The work is more extensive, so it’s going to take more time and cost more money.
